About myself

I was awarded a PhD in Computational Linguistics (with a straight pass) at the University of Wolverhampton, UK. My PhD thesis focused on the Temporal Processing of News: Annotation of Temporal Expressions, Verbal Events and Temporal Relations.

FHEA and PGCert
I am currently a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy, committed to enhance the student learning and teaching experience. I have successfully completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice for Higher Education (PGCert).

MSc and BSc
Before coming to Wolverhampton, I have received my MSc (Distinction) in Computational Linguistics and my BSc (First Class Honours) in Computer Science at the Faculty of Computer Science, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University, Iasi, Romania.

Research and Teaching
My research interests in the area of Computational Linguistics include Temporal Processing, Question Answering, Discourse Parsing, and many others. In terms of teaching, since 2001 I have been delivering various lectures, seminars and practical sessions both at the University of Wolverhampton (UK), and at the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University (Romania).
